My favorite part of my job is my co-workers. They are incredible! No matter how stressful it was to get ready and get to work, and no matter what is going on that day, I feel a bit relieved to step inside my school building every morning. My co-workers are family to me.
My colleagues are supportive when I share new ideas. They even send me emails months later, giving me feedback on some things they tried in their classroom. They give me a lot of credit for boosting their students in math, yet they are the ones who spend the most time teaching math to those students.
My colleagues are great at teaching math. We adopted a new curriculum last year. I am so proud of the quality of math instruction that happens in my building.
My colleagues really care about our students. I would have had no fears sending my own children to them. (I live in a different school district.)
My colleagues are open, warm, and friendly. There are no cliques, no power struggles, no favoritism. I am lucky to be part of their team.
