My strengths tend to become my weaknesses, too.
1. I love teaching and I love teaching math. When I am enthused, it helps create that attitude in my students. I want them to love math.
2. When something needs to get done, I will get it done. When 100 things need to get done, I will get them done.
3. I love studying data. I track my students' progress in many area using various kinds of assessments. I use the data to make decisions about what I am going to teach and how. I also, however, become disappointed and frustrated with my teaching when the data doesn't show the kind of progress I would like to see in my students. Assessments tell one story. Students have many stories to tell.
4. I spend much of my free time researching new ideas. It is good to have many tools available, but it makes me feel, some days, like I never leave work.
