In my classroom, I will make myself think of something positive when the frustration builds. I also think that visiting some classrooms will help me. I only see students who struggle with math. I need to remember the bigger picture, that only a small percentage struggle. My students took a survey at the beginning of the year and, on it, listed things they like to do outside of school. I am going to read through their files again and take some notes so I can visit with them about their interests. I need to remember the bigger picture with my kiddos.
In my school, I will make sure to thank my co-workers for things they do. I think the lost art of a hand-written thank you note many need to be revived.
I will post an update of the results of this challenge at the end of the month.
